About Charlie
Charlie Shureen, CPA, MST, is a Tax Principal with over 15 years of experience in tax. Charlie works with middle market businesses and their owners in various industries, including tech, manufacturing, services, and real estate. Charlie helps clients with business structuring, tax planning, mergers & acquisitions, international and multi-state tax issues, financial accounting for income taxes, equity-based compensation, tax compliance, and ever-changing tax laws. Prior to joining Abbott, Stringham & Lynch in 2020, Charlie worked for public companies and private-equity owned companies in a Big 4 and mid-tier firm in San Francisco for over 11 years.
Charlie holds a Master’s degree in Business Taxation from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
Outside the office, Charlie enjoys hiking, playing tennis, reading, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
