About Matt
Matt Michels, CPA, MST, is a Tax Manager with over seven years of experience. Matt primarily provides tax compliance and tax planning services to privately held businesses and their owners in a variety of industries including technology. Matt extensively works with clients with multiple entities including C-corporations, S-Corporations, and partnerships. Matt strives to build long-term relationships with the clients he serves.
Prior to joining ASL, Matt worked for a mid-size public accounting firm in their corporate group.
Matt holds a Master’s degree in Taxation and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from San Jose State University.
Outside the office, Matt enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with family & friends, barbecuing, and watching a good movie.
